Congratulations to BRYAN NADEAU and DR. JOHN C. DAVIS, JR. who are engaged to be wed on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the elegant historic University Club of San Francisco, a prestigious private club for events of distinction. And their Wedding will be another spectacular affair that they will long remember. Their wedding date marks 9 years of being together, with a Civil Ceremony held last July 26, 2013 at San Francisco City Hall right after the appeal of Prop. 8 by the Supreme Court.
How they met:
Who says you can't find love online? Well these two are living proof as one of its success stories. They both met on www.match.com ... and it's a long story. But in short, John's membership was about to expire and Bryan's had expired. Bryan got a random e-mail from someone on the site that lead to his re-engaging and sending John a "wink". And the rest, as they say, was history. It was 9 years ago when they knew early on that they had something very special - a strong sense of family, and both seeking for a life partner/soulmate.
What they like about each other:
Bryan - "I love how he feels next to me, his sense of humor, how intelligent he is and of course, how handsome he is. I'm so proud to have him in my arms when we are walking down the street. He is simply an amazing man!"
John - "I knew instantly that Bryan was a special person. He is a very caring man as is testimony to him adopting a newborn as a single parent. He is the rock for our family and I know that he will always be there for me as my Partner for Life."
The Proposal:
Bryan - "I had everything set-up at Boulevard, John's favorite restaurant. They would seat us in the back of the restaurant, have a dozen red roses on the table, and then I was all cued up to pop the question, between the Entree and the Dessert. And as soon as he would say "YES!", which we all hoped he would, they would bring over two glasses of Champagne. So John was leaving for Europe on a business trip the next day and was very distracted, which helped my plan a lot, since he doesn't like surprises. And being a Researcher at heart, he figures it out anyway. But not with this one. I completely swept him off his feet and he had no idea whatsoever that this was coming. So we finally arrived at Boulevard; and our table wasn't quite ready yet, so we sat at the Bar having a drink and just talking. Then when they took us to our table in the back, we were amazed with the view of of the Bay Bridge - just a beautiful setting! And the roses on the table looked stunning. So we were chatting about his upcoming trip, life, and about our son, Myles. But before the Appetizers came, I quickly ran off to the restroom to get the ring and proposal ready to go - now I was ready! After they had cleared the Entrees, I took his hand - and NO, I didn't go down on one knee. However, I looked at him straight in the eye and proceeded to propose to him. The look in his eyes was priceless, and of total shock, then elation, followed by a very firm "YES" he would marry me. The waitstaff brought out a Cheese Plate with "Congratulations" to us and we floated through Dessert. The whole Staff and our Waiter still remember us each time we come back to Boulevard - they did a spectacular job!"
John - "I was utterly surprised, which is a rarity for me. And of course, I said "YES!".

Bryan was busy raising their adopted son, Myles Nadeau-Davis, through the foster-to-adopt program, and it wasn't until 2 years later when Bryan and John first met. Myles is now 11, and loves having two parents. He is currently in 6th Grade at Town School for Boys. And will be walking his Parents down the aisle ... what a terrific Family!

And this handsome fellow is Karl - "the 'Darling' of our lives, other than the wee little one, Myles!", says John. Oh and by the way .. that is KARL with a "K", mind you - uh huh!!! ;-)
