i had the pleasure of first meeting meno and you can’t help but notice the warm glow of her persona, and to see how charlie fell in love with her as quickly as icalled them my friends. that alone makes it all worthwhile when you plan a wedding for such great people. and both meno and charlie were certainly that.
they chose the golden gate club at san francisco's park presidio (www.goldengateclub.com) showcasing sweeping views of the golden gate bridge and san francisco bay. here, they held a private ceremony followed by a reception with an emphasis on fun and fabulous; vibrant colors of aubergine and chartreuse … and yes, butterflies! symbolizing their spirit of freedom and happiness, they both released monarch butterflies after the ceremony and showered them and their guests with their grace of love and beauty, (www.butterflyevents.com). luscious cocktails were catered by best beverage catering (www.bestbeverage.com). delectable delights were offered by tom henderson and his crew with thomas john events (www.thomasjohnevents.com), from passed hors d’oeuvres to specialty dinner stations. spectacular floral design by none other than the linnae asiel gomez, executed by meg ethridge with the incomparable asiel design (www.asieldesign.com). gorgeous specialty linens provided by alana bournas of napa valley linens (www.nvlinens.com) while the room was gorgeously appointed with a cluster of square & round tables, and lounge seatings around the dancefloor. a stunning multi-tiered plexiglass from asiel design displayed mouthwatering cupcakes from american cupcake (www.americancupcake.com). riveting lighting design and magical “butterfly” gobos were all from the creative genius of stefanie contreras with atmosphere lighting (www.atmospherelights.vpweb.com). a dinner show and lively dancing entertainment was provided by eddie kertel of associated entertainment inc. with live performances by a sensational performer bud e. luv and the robert vickers band (www.associatedentertainment.com) memorable moments captured video masterfully produced by david ethridge and ryan black of AVR films (www.avrfilms.com), and these fabulous photos from the keen eye and lenses of chung li with chung li photography(www.chungliphotography.com). special thanks to giselle phan(www.mimosassalon.com) who did hair and make-up for our bride and her bridal party ….. they looked so incredibly gorgeous! but most importantly, the event was flawlessly coordinated on-site by my dearest friends, michelle barrionuevo-mazzini and her husband francisco mazzini, both whom I admire as my “wedding partners in crime” and helped me tremendously in making this wedding for meno and charlie a huge success … gracias, mi corazones!
